I saw this adorable knit headband someone made and was selling. I thought it was great and I really wanted one BUT they were $12-$15 which isn't unreasonable BUT I wanted one in every color SO I definitely couldn't afford that.
It looked simple enough so I decided to try and make one! LOVE it!
I found an old stretchy knit t shirt that I had in my dresser. It has 2 bleach stains so I never wear it!

I, then, cut a 3 inch thick strip off the bottom.

I cut the strip at one of the seams.
Then tied it single knotted around my head where I would wear a headband. Carefully took it off and double knotted it.
Then I cut off the excess.
You'll have two little strips, the same width as the headband.
I cut out a few circle to make flowers. I didn't measure or anything and they don't have to be perfect. The waves give the flowers "texture." Do as many or as little as you want for your flowers. I would probably do 4 and 5, instead of 3 and 4 next time.
I, then, layered them on top of each other
And pinched them in the middle bottom, kind of like folding them in thirds.
Then I threaded a needle
And went through the bottom of the flower a couple of times and tied it off.
Voila, two shabby little flowers!
Make sure you like how they look on your headband
Now, time for the hot glue! I glue the cut off ends of my not to the headband for extra support.
Then glued the back of the flowers to the headband!
Hooray! An adorable and EASY headband! It takes all of about 10 minutes and was FREE!!
