I have been struggling with my eating habits since the holidays started (yes, I know its the end of January) but it was as if as soon as I let myself have some junk, or eat a little more I could not control myself!
Ugh. Constant battle for me.
I really need to grow some will power.
Anyway, since the holidays ended, oh, almost a month ago and I still couldn't get myself under control, I decided to start an 8 week healthy challenge with a great group of friends on Facebook! Read about how it works here. (If you want to join, we're starting TOMORROW, MONDAY so let me know ASAP!)
It seems perfect because its about being healthy, not counting calories, not dieting just practicing good habits long enough that hopefully they will actually stay good habits!
To prepare, I haven't really done anything different than I normally do.
I meal plan biweekly, and grocery shop biweekly(ish).

checks are things we could make before I went shopping, dots after and then I got most of the snack stuff but they weren't "must haves" so they didn't get dots ;) |
The one big thing I did that I'm hoping helps is prepping my fruit!
I am so lazy (busy) during the day that I want to grab and go!

I, also, usually consult my husband on any "requests" to which he usually says "everything you make is good" what a sweetie! ;) And for the first time in probably forever, he said "I just want you to do what you need to do. We can have salads every night if you want!" If you know my husband, that is a HUGE sacrifice for him. It is so nice to have his support!
